How to get to the Gudauri

By plane

By bus

Another advantage is the proximity of the resort to the Russian-Georgian border of the Verkhniy Lars checkpoint – 80 km along the Georgian military road.

But there are also significant disadvantages – in winter, the crossing is often closed due to snowfalls. The waiting time ranges from several hours to several days.

By taxi

From the airport to the Gudauri resort you can only take a taxi. It is convenient, but not cheap. It is much cheaper to get to the city first and take a taxi from there.
