Monte Verena Resort – Mezzaselva di Roana is located in the Italian region of Asiago region of Veneto (Vicenza). There are 22 km of trails for skiing and snowboarding. 5 lifts transport skiers. The winter sports complex is located between 1640 and 2020 meters above sea level.
The Monte Verena ski area is the largest and highest ski area in the entire Asiago plateau. The chairlift lifts from a height of 1665 meters to 2020 meters to the Verena shelter, from where you can enjoy a beautiful view of the entire plateau and the Alps, up to the Dolomite peaks of Brenta and Adamello. The ski slopes descend from the summit up to 1600 meters.
In the near future, a new 6-seater central chairlift with automatic descent will be installed at the Verena ski resort, and the artificial snow program will be strengthened.
For downhill skiing, there are 12 tracks with a total length of 22 km. For the little ones who take their first steps in the snow, there is a trail served by a moving walk in Tresche Konka, which can also be used for bobsleigh and sledging, the Sisley training area and the Verenetta children’s slope equipped with a lift.
The resort also has an interesting off-piste slope 10 km from Fort Monte Verena to Lake Roana at an altitude of 1090 m. F ORLD skiers can ski on more than 500 km of slopes. The lifts are located a few kilometers from Asiago, near them there is a large car park where up to 1100 cars can be accommodated for free.
A free ski bus connects the ski area of the resort with the center of Asiago, and from there continues to the ski areas of Melette and Caberlaba, where you can use the same ski pass.
Monte Verena is an attractive destination for many tourists who visit the ruins of Forte Verena, located at an altitude of 2015 meters on the mountain of the same name. From here on May 24, 1915, at 4 o’clock, the first cannon shot sounded, which marked the beginning of the hostilities of the 1915-18 war on the Italian front.

Total length of tracks 7 km. The vertical drop is 380 meters. To maintain the slopes in perfect condition, the slopes are processed by snow groomers, which are special devices for compacting snow. The presence of “snow cannons” and snow groomers allows not only to preserve snow during winter thaws. You can ride confidently and without fear both day and evening, when the slopes are illuminated by the beams of powerful searchlights. Beginners can use the services of experienced instructors.
