The Racines-Giovo (Ratschings-Jaufen)/Malga Calice (Kalcheralm) ski resort is located in northern Italy in the Isarco Valley (Valle Isarco region Trentino-Alto Adige, Alto Adige). There are 25 km of trails for skiing and snowboarding. 8 lifts take skiers to the slopes. The resort is located between 1300 and 2100 meters above sea level.
Once you have reached the small and beautiful, postcard-like town of la Val di Racines, you can quickly and conveniently get to the Racines-Giovo/Malga Calice resort. A modern gondola ride takes you beyond the vegetation to a varied terrain, snowpark and funslope for skiers and snowboarders. In addition to wide and well-cleared trails, the resort has comfortable hotels and cozy restaurants. The trails fan out from Malga Calice to Passo Giovo, the highest starting at the summit of Saxner. Skiers of all skill levels will find skiing to their liking. The smallest visitors will be delighted with the Kinderland (children’s park), located very close to the lift station. Toboggan runs, cross-country ski trails and hiking trails complete and decorate the Alpine landscape.

Total length of tracks 25 km. The vertical drop is 800 meters. The Racines-Giovo resort offers its guests to ride mainly on the “red” slopes, as you can see on the map, but in fact they are very diverse and many of them are conditionally “difficult”. High, where the vegetation has already ended, the tracks are very wide and with natural obstacles, cable cars lead to them. Another super-long and gentle slope runs along the edge of a coniferous forest, to the beginning of which the Wasserfalleralm chair-type road rises. In addition, at the Racines winter complex, you can go for funsloop, developing quite high speeds.
The surface of the slopes is maintained in good condition using snow-compacting equipment. Snow cannons turn on if necessary. In total, the resort has 73 snow cannons that cover 100% of the slopes. In the dark, the tracks are illuminated by powerful floodlights, so you can ride almost until late at night. For beginners, training in skiing and snowboarding with professional instructors is organized.
The longest run: Rinneralm-Blosegg, 4.1 km long, 800 m vertical drop.

Visitors are lifted up 12 cable cars: 1 gondola lift, 6 chairlift and 1 t-bar lift. There are 4 children’s lifts for beginners and children.
All lifts are very modern. Since the 2016/17 season, it was here that the first 8-seater chairlift in Italy was built. This latest technology design features a canopy and anti-slip weather protection. Directly from the resort, an 8-seat gondola lift leads to this cable car. The other 5 out of 6 cable cars have a speed limit and also weather protection. At the foot of the mountain, a ski lift is built for beginners.
The total length of the cable cars is 87 km, which are capable of transporting up to 16227 passengers/hour.
