The Mottarone resort is located in the Italian province of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola region of Piemonte (Provincia del Verbano-Cusio-Ossola regione Piemonte). There are 17.9 km of trails for skiing and snowboarding. 8 lifts transport skiers. The winter sports complex is located between 1269 and 1491 meters above sea level.
Mottarone, located between Lake Maggiore and Horta, is considered one of the most beautiful natural balconies, where the view stretches from the Po valley to the peaks of the Alps and the Apennines; it is amazing to see seven lakes under it (Maggiore, d’Orta, Mergozzo, Varese, Comabbio, Monate, Biyandronno). The resort can be reached from Turin and Novara using the Borgomanero motorway exit; and from Milan or Verbano, take the A26 motorway, take the Brovello Carpugnino exit. Then you can park your car in Stresa and take the Stresa-Alpino-Mottarone cable car.
The Mottarone Ski Resort caters mainly to families and young people. 21 km of downhill skiing trails suitable for all levels of difficulty, 5 of which have artificial snowmaking systems. The “red” Alpe Corti is breathtaking, it stretches from the top of Mottarone for 2.5 km.
Ski school Stella Alpina Mottarone, in addition to skiing courses, organizes excursions with snowshoes, even at night.
There is an area for sledging and bobsleighing on the training ground for children. The little ones can then have fun on the snow with the babysitting at the ski school’s kids club.
At the end of the winter season, you can still have fun on the 1000 m2 summer ski slope above.

Total length of tracks 17.9 km. The vertical drop is 222 meters. Tracks are prepared with special equipment. In case of bad snow, there is a system of artificial snowmaking. The tracks are illuminated, which makes it possible to use them in the evening. For beginners, training in skiing and snowboarding with professional instructors is organized.
