The Crissolo – Monviso resort is located in the Cuneo region of the Piemonte region (provincia Cuneo regione Piemonte). For skiing and snowboarding, there are 20 km of ski trails and 4 km of cross-country skiing trails. 3 ski lifts transport skiers. The winter sports zone is located at an altitude of 1333 to 2400 meters above sea level.

Chrissolo – a city in the shadow of Mount Monviso, the “stone king”; on its territory, in Pian del Re, at an altitude of 2020 m there are the sources of one of the most full-flowing rivers in Italy – Po.

Here is the Chrissolo resort with 10 km of slopes for skiing. Three lifts climb to the top of Monte Guincia Pastour at an altitude of 2300 m and connect at the foot of Chrissolo with Pian Regina. The chairlift starts from the village and raises skiers to a great height, here the Granero Lungo slope is equipped with artificial snow. Pian Regina also has a moving walkway that serves three green slopes (total length 0.5 km) 180 meters long. There are two play areas dedicated to children who, with or without skis, can have fun in an area entirely dedicated to them and their parents, one area at the beginning of the Pian della Regina jogging track and the other at the start of the Monviso chairlift.

Those who descend to Pian della Regina are left without lifts and can not only return to the top, but do not even have a ski track to get to the chair lift departure station. To overcome this inconvenience, a shuttle service was organized connecting Pian della Regina to the resort.

But not only the ski slopes are known for Chrissolo, here you can practice snowboarding and freeriding; there are also 10 km of off-piste slopes, which will be shown by instructors. Chrissolo hosts numerous ski mountaineering routes and hosts international competitions such as the World Ski Mountaineering Championships. Numerous snowshoe excursions are organized here; Proloco di Crissolo organizes excursions with a naturalist guide, even at night.

Pian Regina, at an altitude of 1,745 meters, offers free use of a 3 km medium cross-country ski trail.

Not far from the village there are natural icefalls for climbing. In this area, it is interesting to visit the Rio Martino cave, along which you can climb to the 55 m high waterfall.

In the village, you can skate on a natural skating rink with an area of 700 square meters, which is in the area of the villa, on weekends and holidays. It must be said that the lifts also operate only on weekends, holidays and during the holidays (Christmas, Carnival and Easter).
