The Chiomonte Frais resort is located in the Italian region of Val di Susa in the Piemonte region, Turin (Val di Susa regione Piemonte, Torino). There are 25 km of trails for skiing and snowboarding. 4 lifts transport skiers. The winter sports complex is located between 1460 and 2090 meters above sea level.
The town of Chiomonte is located on a flat stretch of the Susa Valley. The ski area is located in the south at the foot of the Punta Mezdi (2691 m) and Ciantiplana (2849 m) peaks, in Pian del Freis. The Chiomonte-Freis double chairlift starts from the city at an altitude of 750 m and reaches Pian del Frais at an altitude of 1500 meters. It is convenient to get to the town – the train station of the Turin – Modane line is not far away.
From Pian del Frais to Pian Mezdi at an altitude of 2090 meters there are 19 km of slopes for alpine skiing and 6 km for off-piste skiing (“black” for freeriding goes down from 2090 m to the middle station of the Mezdi lift). “Red” Rossignol is an Olympic track created for international training and downhill competitions. Every Friday the Narciso ski lift is open for night skiing. The resort has an entertainment snow park with a total area of 25,000 square meters.
Lovers of cross-country skiing will find 12 km of trails laid at an altitude of 1300 m of the resort among vast pine forests, with views of the del Ambin mountain range. For snowshoe lovers, there are 5 km of trails to the towns of Crosse, Saint-Peyre, Serain and Comba. Endless ski mountaineering trails lead to peaks such as Pintas, Punta Mezdi and Ciantiplana. Ciomonte’s other offers include a grassy roller ski slope and dog sledding.

Total length of tracks 19 km. The vertical drop is 630 meters. The surface of the tracks is maintained in good condition with the help of snow-sealing equipment. Artificial snowmaking system ensures snow cover on slopes during unstable weather. Artificial lighting is provided on the slopes, which allows you to comfortably ride and train in the evening.
