Monte Catria

The Monte Catria resort is located in the Italian province of Pesaro-Urbino in the Marche region (provincia di Pesaro-Urbino regione Marche). There are 7 km of trails for skiing and snowboarding. 2 ski lifts transport skiers. The winter sports complex is located between 572 and 1478 meters above sea level.

In the heart of the Umbrian and Marchigiano Apennines is Monte Catria, a small ski area with guaranteed snow for several months a year. The ski resort is entirely located in the provinces of Pesaro and Urbino, in the municipality of Frontone. It is located on the northeastern slopes of Monte Acuto in the Monte Catria mountain group, from 1510 m to 560 m from Caprile.

The Caprile – Monte Acuto double gondola cable car is the pier from which you can reach Monte Acuto and Monte Catria, two peaks of the Catria massif. From here, an off-piste descent leads to a 6 km long valley, beaten in the wonderful “powdery” snow.

The alpine skiing tracks are nestled in a beech forest: they are suitable for both beginners and intermediate skiers. Six km is served by a three-seater chairlift “Le Cotalin”, which allows you to climb to an altitude of 1468 meters in just three minutes. The lift connects the slopes, the walking belt runs up to the children’s slope. The Kinderland Adventure Park is located above the cable car and features tubing tracks, two cheesecake and bobsleigh runs, a track for children, a bouncy castle and other games. There is a snow park for snowboarders.

In the new development project, it is planned to open another Travarco chairlift, which will be one kilometer long and will allow the opening of 4 more existing slopes, which will need to be expanded. This will add another 7 km of tracks.

For cross-country skiing, there is a loop trail that crosses the Infilatoyo plateau towards Mount Katria for 5.5 km. To discover the wonders of Katria, snowshoe excursions and walks of various difficulty levels are organized, from two hours to full-day excursions.
