Schilpario

The Schilpario resort is located in the Italian province of Bergamo in the Lombardy region (provincia di Bergamo regione Lombardia). There are 3.5 km of trails for skiing and snowboarding. 2 ski lifts transport skiers. The winter sports complex is located between 1135 and 1600 meters above sea level.

Skilpario is a wonderful ski resort in Val di Scalva, in the foothills of Orobic. The downhill skiing slopes are located in Conca di Epolo, which, until a few years ago, was served by a four-seater chairlift with automatic coupling Skilpario – Malga Epolo. Unfortunately, this chairlift is no longer there and the future seems uncertain for this resort, which had a beautiful trail descending from the Conca di Epolo 3000 meters long, from 1580 m to 1154 m, equipped with artificial snow.

The ski area at the foot of Pizzo Camino faces north and is covered with natural snow until the end of the season. The ski lift still serves the 1000 m long training slope located in the village. This slope is lit on Fridays, so you can ride in the moonlight.

Cross-country skiing is carried out in classical and skating styles on Pista degli Abeti, where the champions of the Fabio May competed. The trail starts at an altitude of 1152 meters and runs parallel to the Dezzo river with rings of 3 – 5 – 8 – 10 km in a pine forest: up to 2 km suitable for children, easy up to 4 km, competition trail up to 7.5 km and the most difficult along the entire length. 1500 meters of the track is equipped with lighting available on request. Downstairs at the lower station are ticket offices, equipment rental, toilets and changing rooms with lockers for storing things. Nearby there is an ice rink 70×35 meters, approved for international competitions.
