Season:

Borno – Monte Altissimo resort is located in the Italian mountainous region of Valle Camonica regione Lombardia. For skiing and snowboarding, 14.4 km of trails are laid here. 4 lifts transport skiers. The winter sports complex is located between 952 and 1694 meters above sea level.
Borno is located in the heart of the Valcamonica and comes alive especially in the summer season. In winter, the ski resort on Mount Altissimo attracts, especially on weekends, many skiers from Brescia and Milan. From Borno to the resort you need to drive about 3 kilometers by car or free bus. The resort has two large car parks.
For skiers, there are three four-seater chair lifts, one two-seater, a moving path for beginners on the camposcuola – a training slope – an ideal place for children’s entertainment, with a large enough area for toboggans and very gentle slopes for skiing.
Unfortunately, the height of Monte Altissimo, despite the name, is only 1,700 meters, so completely natural snow can be found only in the upper part, while most of the slopes are covered with artificial snow. Thanks to this, the tracks are kept in perfect condition. The strength of the resort is that it is not very crowded at any time of the year, with the possible exception of vacation periods. There are not many slopes, but they are different, of different complexity, taste and length. The “Direttissima” is undoubtedly magnificent, judging by the reviews, it is one of the most beautiful downhill runs in all of Lombardy: very wide, with perfect slopes and with various sections of medium difficulty. The last part is classified as complex. The long Pian d’Aprile is perfect for children; it is quite gentle, narrow in places and surrounded by a beautiful pine forest. Like Direttissima, the Pagerola trail is also very wide, with a lower incline and always optimally sunny and snowy. Halfway down the slope is the Col del Cerf offshoot, often used for regional downhill and super-G competitions.
New of the season – Play Park, ideal for snowboards, with the opportunity to make spectacular jumps accompanied by loud music. For tired skiers, there are two mountain huts offering restaurant service with an excellent typical menu.
