Campo Stella (Leonessa)

Campo Stella – Leonessa resort is located in the Italian province of Rieti region of Lazio (provincia Rieti regione Lazio). There are 14 km of trails for skiing and snowboarding. 2 ski lifts transport skiers. The winter sports complex is located between 1129 and 1696 meters above sea level.

On the road from the small town of Leonessa to Terminillo, another ski resort in the Lazio region, you find yourself in the Campo Stella ski area. It has slopes served by 2 chair lifts and 1 drag. From the top of the Rubbio chairlift, the possibilities are almost endless for the skier. From here, in particular, begins a track of medium difficulty with a length of more than 6 km, ideal for those who like long and not too difficult routes. A chairlift leads from Wallonina to Vallorgano. Its length is 1540 meters, and the vertical drop is 360 meters, and it rises to a considerable height. Here, among the beech forest, you can also enjoy great off-piste skiing.

Campo Stella has ski instructors capable of teaching a variety of ski disciplines. For those who love cross-country skiing, Leonessa offers the Wallonin “loop” over 5 km and the Fonte Nova loop over 3 km. The loops are located on the road towards Terminillo, next to the road is the hotel-restaurant da Mosè, home to the Environmental Education Center, which provides equipment rental and ski lessons.
