Tarvisio (Monte Lussari)

The Tarvisio – Monte Lussari Resort is located in the Italian province of Udine, Friuli-Venezia Giulia region (Provincia di Udine regione Friuli-Venezia Giulia). There are 24 km of trails for skiing and snowboarding. 10 lifts transport skiers on them. The winter sports complex is located between 754 and 1752 meters above sea level.

The Tarvisio resort can be called an Italian winter fairytale, the air is so clean and nature is untouched. This is a real theater of mountains that can bring incredible joy to climbers and mountaineers; Italian athlete Nives Meroi trains here. Majestic mountains, which until the beginning of the XX century. remained unexplored, first conquered by Julius Kugi – the legendary climber, botanist, musician and writer.

The resort is located right in the middle of the Prealpi Giulio National Park, which includes the highest mountain ranges of Monte Plauris (1958 m), Monti Muzy (1869 m) and Monte Canin (2587); the only zone at a lower elevation is in the area of ​​Povici in Resiutta and in the Valle del Torrente Mea in Luzevere. Three different biogeographic zones contact here – Mediterranean, Illyrian and Alpine. That is why the nature here is extraordinary.

In winter, the resort area turns into a magical place. Trails of various difficulty levels are excellently prepared. Many of them have panoramic views. Besides skiing, you can spend time walking on snowshoes along the mountain paths. Both children and adults will be delighted with attending an international dog sledding school, where there is an opportunity to meet wonderful four-legged friends and ride with them along the packed snow paths.
