The Piancavallo resort is located in the Italian province of Pordenone in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region (Provincia di Pordenone regione Friuli-Venezia Giulia). There are 17 km of trails for skiing and snowboarding. 6 lifts transport skiers. The winter sports complex is located between 1245 and 1865 meters above sea level.

Piancavallo was founded in the late 1960s and became the first Italian ski resort to be equipped with artificial snowmaking equipment. Since the 1980s, it has hosted several women’s alpine skiing competitions as part of the World Cup, as well as a stage in the Giro d’Italia cycling race.

Piancavallo is now 51 hectares of prepared ski slopes, 100% equipped with snow cannons, where you can enjoy skiing on the main slopes or offshoots for well-trained skiers and snowboarders. A ski school and a separate training slope are a great opportunity to learn how to ski for those who still cannot, and enjoy their first independent slopes. 5 belt lifts lead here, two of which are covered.

In addition to skiing downhill slopes, the resort has 26 km of cross-country trails, part of which is illuminated, so there is the possibility of romantic skiing in the moonlight.
