The Corno alle Scale – Lizzano in Belvedere resort is located in the Italian province of Bologna in the Emilia-Romagna region (Provincia di Bologna regione Emilia-Romagna). For skiing and snowboarding, 40 km of trails are laid here. 6 lifts transport skiers. The winter sports complex is located between 1418 and 1945 meters above sea level.
In the province of Bologna, in the small town of Corno alle Scale, at an altitude of almost 2000 meters above sea level, there is a ski resort located on one of the most important mountains of the northern Apennines. It looks like a magnificent natural amphitheater that stretches from the peaks to Lake Scaffaiolo and down to the valley itself. 40 km of slopes allow skiers and snowboarders to enjoy this resort 150 days a year.
Interesting fact: the name of the area comes from the shape of one of the slopes of the mountain on the north side, which is composed of rocky cliffs and steps. The resort is part of the Corno alle Scale regional park on one side.
It is impossible not to mention that it was on these tracks that Italian champion Alberto Tomba took his first steps and was trained to become the champion who was recently praised as the best skier of the century.
The resort has trails for cross-country skiing, they are laid in the form of two rings: one is large, 4 km long, the other is smaller, suitable for beginners.
And for snowboarders, a charming park with slides, rails, parabolic curves, trampolines of different levels and spikes is recommended.

Total length of tracks 14 km. The vertical drop is 527 meters. The surface of the slopes is maintained in good condition with the help of snow compacting equipment. Artificial snowmaking systems work. In total, the resort has 30 snow cannons that cover 80% of the slopes. The trails are illuminated for evening skiing. There is a training slope for beginner skiers. Both adults and children can learn to ride on it.
