There are 50 km of trails for skiing and snowboarding. 13 lifts transport skiers to them. The winter sports complex is located between 900 and 1976 meters above sea level.

On the slopes of Mount Cimone, which gave the name to the resort, there are several towns – Fiumalbo, Sestola, Fanano and Riolunato, which belong to the province of Modena. There are military installations in the vicinity of the mountain, so during the Cold War access to the top was prohibited.

Today, Mount Cimone is a popular ski resort, which can be reached both from Modena and from Bologna, since distances in Italy are most often measured in tens, not hundreds of kilometers. There are 31 ski tracks with a total length of 50 km. The longest trail stretches for 3.6 km.

The resort consists of six centers – Passo del Lupo, Polle, Cimoncino, Lago Ninfa, Montecreto and Pian del Falco, which are connected by trails and lifts.
