Camigliatello Silano

Camigliatello Silano Resort is located in the Italian province of Cosenza region of Calabria. There are 4.3 km of pistes for skiing and snowboarding. 1 lift transports skiers. The winter sports complex is located between 1378 and 1785 meters above sea level.

A famous tourist resort in the central part of the Sila National Park (Sila), Camiglatello Silano is located a few kilometers from Lake Cechita. One kilometer from the city center, in the Tasso area, there is the departure station for the modern eight-seat gondola lift, which rises from 1368 m to 1765 m, on Monte Curcio.

There are two slopes for alpine skiing, “red” at 2050 m and “blue” at 2220 m, equipped with an automatic snowmaking system. Below, where the two slopes converge, there is a children’s track. Since the 2019 winter season, a single ski pass has been introduced for two resorts: Camiglatello and Lorica.

From Monte Curcio, a cross-country ski trail starts, which follows the panoramic Strada delle Vette route, which connects the highest peaks of the Sila Park: Monte Scuro (1630 m), Monte Curcio (1768 m) and Monte Botte Donato ( 1928 m). The trail of varying degrees of difficulty winds about 24 km between pine and beech forests, overlooking lakes Chechita and Arvo. Macchia Sacra has a 3/5 km cross-country ski loop.

The resort also offers countless opportunities for snowshoe, snowmobile and quad biking.

Camiglatello Silano is part of the municipality of Spezzano della Sila, which is 15 km from Cosenza.
