The Monte Sirino resort is located in the Italian province of Potenza in the Basilicata region (provincia di Potenza regione Basilicata). There are 5.3 km of pistes for skiing and snowboarding. 5 lifts transport skiers. The winter sports complex is located between 1420 and 1850 meters above sea level.

This year only the Conserva di Lauria ski area is open!

A two-person chairlift (currently inaccessible due to an avalanche) and four drag lifts serve the beautiful slopes immersed in the unspoiled nature of the Lake Laudemio Regional Reserve, on Monte Sirino, a mountain range in Basilicata that includes some from the main peaks of the southern Apennines: Monte Papa (2005 m), Cima de Lorenzo (2004 m), Timpa Scazzariddo (1930 m) and Monte Sirino (1907 m).

There are two resorts in the ski area: Lake Laudemi and Conserva di Lauria, which offer a total of about 5.5 km of downhill skiing on seven easy and medium slopes. A trail immersed in the forest connects Laudemio with the slopes of the Conserva di Lauria area.

The chairlift serves the 2.2 km Forcella Monte Papa trail, which is well covered with snow due to the altitude, and the Monte Sirino lift allows you to ski on two slopes of medium difficulty. Beginners like the easy track, which is reached by a ski lift. On it, they can learn the first techniques of skiing with an instructor from the Monte Sirino ski school. Around the glacial lake Laudemio (1500 m), in addition to alpine skiing, you can go cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and Nordic walking.

The cross-country ski loop runs 2,500 meters, starting and ending in front of the Italia shelter; the route is very interesting and offers different options depending on the skills of the skiers.

The city is part of the municipality of Lagonegro, located a few kilometers from the start of the ski lifts, it has services and amenities for living. The lifts are open every weekend and on public holidays.

Interesting fact: in the spring, Lake Laudemio turns into a beautiful emerald green color due to the presence of a special algae in its waters.
