The Pila Resort is located in Italy in the vicinity of the city of Aosta (Aosta) in the Valle D’Aosta region. There are 50.3 km of trails for skiing and snowboarding. 12 lifts transport skiers to them. The winter sports complex is located between 1 540 and 2 740 meters above sea level.

A trip to Pyla from the Aosta Valley will be one of the most spectacular in the Alps – when the road rises, the valley descends, and the imposing peaks of the Matterhorn, Monte Rosa and Mont Blanc appear, which on clear days are perfectly visible from anywhere in the resort. Popular with intermediate skiers, the ski area is mostly red, with a few black runs and some good off-piste runs. Excellent snow plowing equipment works here. Excellent relaxing skiing is found higher in the mountains – there are plenty of open areas with large pockets of virgin snow.

Situated above the city of Aosta, the Pila resort is a modern and purpose-built resort, ideal for a relaxing ski holiday. And like other resorts in the Aosta Valley, on weekends the town is animated by locals from Milan and Turin.

Total length of tracks 50.3 km. The vertical drop is 1200 meters. Preparation of slopes is carried out using special snow groomers of snow groomers. Snow cover on the tracks is preserved with snow cannons. In total, the resort has 480 snow cannons that cover 80% of the slopes. In the dark, the slopes are illuminated by powerful floodlights, so you can ride almost until late at night. For beginners, a special training slope is equipped – smooth and wide.

The long training trail starts from the Saw base – ideal for those making their first test descents. The undoubted plus is that nowhere in Pyla there are no drag lifts, instead there are carpet lifts – a “magic carpet” in the children’s area. As the week progresses, beginners will explore the quiet, wide and gentle tree-lined blue trails that form the heart of the ski area and are ideal for practicing cornering techniques.

A wonderful land of red and blue tracks opens from the center of the resort. From the top of the Chamole chairlift, there are no less than four different descents along scenic tree-lined trails. The pistes are wide and generally not crowded, which adds to the fun of skiing.

The Saw gives the experienced skier the opportunity to get started on the long Resselin piste, which is just preparation for the challenging Tsa Creuisa.

The resort has its own separate freeride area in addition to the many ancient forests that surround the pistes. The ski area itself is mainly oriented towards the north, which is why the tree-lined slopes are renowned for their excellent quality of virgin snow.

By the way, you can expand your skiing area by traveling to Courmayeur. Just 40 minutes by bus from Pyla, there are several beautiful slopes available for skiers of all skill levels, with stunning scenery and views of Mont Blanc, which is even more impressive from the cabin of the Skyway cable car. By purchasing a 6-day ski pass on Pyla, you will receive two additional free days of skiing in this fantastic resort.
