The Vallefura Pescocostanzo resort is located in the Italian province of L’Aguilla regione Abruzzo. There are 8.3 km of trails for skiing and snowboarding. 4 lifts transport skiers. The winter sports complex is located between 1460 and 1729 meters above sea level.

Pescocostanzo is a beautiful village with a charming Renaissance historic center dedicated to traditional crafts, located between the Mayella pastures and the upper Sangro valley.

Pescocostanzo – Vallefura offers a ski resort that stretches from the city to the slopes of Mount Calvario; a four-seater chairlift will take skiers from Piazzale degli Châteaury at 1440 meters to the shelter at 1729 meters. The Vallefura and Valle Gelata 4-seater and 2-seater chairlifts serve various and interesting ski slopes, including downhill slopes.

The large snow park, which also has several trails with night lighting, captivates young people. You can climb to the entrance on a convenient high-speed lift.

For children, the resort has entertainment by age: sledges, cheesecakes, games in the snow with animators. For those who are just getting started on skis, there are two training camps served by two moving lanes.

Interesting fact: Pescocostanzo was the first in Europe to establish a slope made of modern innovative material Neveplast. It allows skiing and snowboarding 12 months of the year. Two belt lifts lead to the slope.

The resort prides itself on the numerous freeride trails along the slopes descending from the Monte Rotella and Monte Calvario mountain ranges, easily accessible by lifts and short hikes along the ridge.

The area also offers several ski-mountaineering trails in the karst plateau system known as the “Great Abruzzo Highlands” and guided snowshoe walks among the centuries-old beeches in the Sant’Antonio forest.

The ski resort is located near the Roccaraso – Rivisondoli area, with which Pescocostanzo is a member of the Alto Sangro ski pass. Another resort of the consortium is Pescasseroli.
