The Damüls Mellau resort is located in the Austrian Bregenzerwald, Vorarlberg, Bregenz – Bregenzerwald, Vorarlberg, Bregenz. For skiing and snowboarding, 79.4 km of ski slopes and 17.7 km of ski trails are laid here. 19 lifts transport skiers. The winter sports zone is located at an altitude of 710 to 2050 meters above sea level.

Since 2009, the Gipfelbahn cable car has connected the beautiful and alpine villages of Damüls and Mellau with the Damüls-Mellau ski resort, which has expanded and improved even more. And since the winter of 2015/16, a new powerful 10-seater gondola lift began operating here, which lifts from Mellau to the ski area. And there, modern lifts serve the area below Damülser Mittagsspitze, from where a breathtaking view of the surrounding mountains and Lake Constance opens. A ski bus connects Damüls with the other ski resort of Faschina.

Total length of tracks 79.4 km. The vertical drop is 1340 meters. The surface of most of the slopes of the ski complex is maintained in perfect condition with the help of snow-sealing equipment. The resort has snow cannons. In total, the resort has 130 snow cannons that cover 70% of the tracks. In the dark, the area and ski slopes are illuminated. A training slope is designed for beginner skiers.

The Damüls-Mellau ski resort offers slopes for all levels of difficulty, from easy to very difficult. The offer includes trails of all colors; in addition, off-piste places are very much appreciated by freeriders. Most of the slopes are quite wide and fit well into the landscape. On the slope that connects Mellau, there is a tunnel where you can ski.

The longest trail: descent to the Mellau Valley, 7 km long, 900 m vertical drop.

The most difficult tracks:

  • Sunnegg Slope (Damüls), 1 km long, 350 m vertical drop.
  • Slope Suttis (Mellau), length 1 km, height difference 250 m.

The slopes of the resort serve 25 lifts: 2 gondola lift, 13 chairlift and 2 t-bar lift. There are 8 children’s lifts for beginners and children. The total length of the cable cars is 194 km, which are capable of transporting up to 38520 passengers/hour.

The Damüls-Mellau ski resort mainly offers state-of-the-art 6-seater chairlifts with protective domes. From Mellau, the new 10-seater Mellaubahn gondola lift quickly and comfortably takes you up to Rossstelle, where there is an 8-seater chairlift equipped with child restraints, protective domes and heated seats. A modern gondola lift with 8 seats connects Mellau and Damüls. From Oberdamüls to the ski area, you can take a double chair lift. For beginners, there are different types of skilifts and moving tracks.
