The Stubaier Gletscher resort is located in the Austrian Tyrol, Innsbruck, Stubai – Austria, Tirolo, Innsbruck, Innsbryck-land, Stubai. There are 65 km of trails for skiing and snowboarding. 22 ski lifts transport skiers. The complex for practicing winter sports is located between 1697 and 3212 meters above sea level.

Just a 45-minute drive from Innsbruck is the largest of all ski resorts on the glacier in Austria – Stubai. Its height and geographic conditions guarantee excellent skiing from October to June. Therefore, in early autumn, both professional and beginner skiers come here with pleasure. A lot of people come with their whole families. The Stubai Glacier even has its own ski club for families, called the Big Family Ski-Camp.

There is a special area for freeriding, which is called the Powder Department, but this is no longer for family riding. An excellent snow park is equipped, which also has its own name “Moreboards Stubai Zoo”. Austria’s largest ski area has something for every winter enthusiast: skiing, snowboarding, family activities, ice caves, winter hiking, snow park, freeriding and more.

Therefore, it is not for nothing that the Stubai Glacier in Austria is considered one of the most popular and most visited places.

Total length of tracks 65 km. The vertical drop is 1515 meters. The slopes are kept in good condition by snowmobiles and the efforts of the ski resort staff. The resort has a snowmaking system. In total, the resort has 80 snow cannons that cover 25% of the tracks. Ski slopes are illuminated. Highly professional instructors conduct group and individual lessons for adults and children.

The resort has 35 ski slopes, ranging from easy to very difficult. The longest track is 10 kilometers long, with a height difference of 1.5 kilometers. And also there is a special ski track for comfortable skiing with the whole family, as well as for skiing for skiers aged 50 and older, which meets all safety standards.

The slopes of the resort serve 26 lifts: 5 gondola lift, 7 chairlift and 8 t-bar lift. There are 6 children’s lifts for beginners and children. The total length of the cable cars is 251 km, which are capable of transporting up to 39784 passengers/hour.

On the Stubai, all lifts – gondola and chairlift – are super modern. This means comfort, speed and safety. Not to mention the 3S Eisgratbahn, which is the longest cable car of its kind in the Alps and is 4.7 km long. Two suspension cables and one traction cable (therefore “3S”) guarantee maximum smoothness and wind resistance. At the intermediate station, you can stay in the cabins and go higher, or you can get out and change to the Gamsgarten ski lift.
