The resort Steinplatte/Winklmoosalm – Waidring/Reit im Winkl is located in the Pillersee Valley in the Austrian Tyrol and in Chiemgau – the heart of the Bavarian Alps in Upper Bavaria in Germany – Pillerseetal, Austria, Tirolo and Chiemgau, Germania, Bavaria. There are 44 km of trails for skiing and snowboarding. 14 lifts transport skiers. The winter sports area is located at an altitude of 740 to 1860 meters above sea level.

The ski resort paradise is located in the corner between the three lands – Tyrol, Salzburg and Bavaria. Small, cozy and sunny, with old mountain houses, pure wildlife and excellent infrastructure.

In the center of the district is the huge Steinplatte plateau. These are the “border lands” between the two states Germany and Austria.

An interesting fact. Car traffic on the territory of the resort is prohibited. The authorities decided that it was a real crime to spoil the clean alpine air with exhausts. If you come by car, you will have to leave it in a neighboring town, and move on – by an environmentally friendly bus.

The resort is best suited for families with children. It’s not very big, but comfortable. Most of the tracks will seem simple for professionals and extreme lovers, but for beginners there is a real freedom here. Another advantage is the very reasonable prices for the ski pass.
