The resort Mayrhofen – Penken/Ahorn/Rastkogel/Eggalm is located in the Austrian tourist region in the vicinity of Mayrhofen-Hippach and Finkerberg – Mayrhofen-Hippach, Tiroler Unterland, Schwaz, Zillertal. There are 150 km of trails for skiing and snowboarding. 44 lifts transport skiers. The winter sports complex is located between 630 and 2500 meters above sea level.

Total length of tracks 142 km. The vertical drop is 1870 meters. The surface of the tracks is maintained in good condition with the help of snow-sealing equipment. The surface of the tracks is kept in perfect condition with the help of an artificial snowmaking system. In total, the resort has 360 snow cannons that cover 95% of the tracks. The slopes are illuminated, which makes it possible to use them in the evening. Highly professional instructors conduct group and individual lessons for adults and children.

The resort’s offer includes all variety of slopes – from simple and “medium” to the most steep in all of Austria called “harakiri”. There are other challenging and interesting tracks, as well as speed competitions between amateurs. The peculiarity of the tracks is that they are all interconnected.

The longest trail: Descent to Hippach, length 10 km, vertical drop 1448 m.

Hardest piste: Harakiri, 1.2 km long, 376 m elevation difference (the steepest in all of Austria with a 78% slope)

The most interesting tracks:

  • Trail 12 (Devil’s Run) to Schneekar (Mayrhofen)

Visitors are lifted up 102 lifts: 4 aerial tramway, 16 gondola lift, 34 chairlift and 22 t-bar lift. There are 26 children’s lifts for beginners and children. The total length of the cable cars is 448 km, which are capable of transporting up to 83441 passengers/hour.

State-of-the-art gondola lifts, including the new Penkenbahn three-wire gondola lift, allow skiers and snowboarders to travel from the valley to the resort, from where state-of-the-art chair lifts (most with protective domes) provide quick, no-queuing access to the ski area. The Penken gondola chairlift, equipped with two stations, is the first in the world: a 10-seater gondola lift and an 8-seater chairlift, operating on the same rope, but with separate pick-up/drop-off zones, allowing skiers to choose between fast ascent, without wasting time. taking off and putting on skis or lifting in a comfortable gondola cabin.
