The Großarltal/Dorfgastein resort is located in Austria, Salzburg, Pongau, Großarltal, Austria, Salisburghese, Pongau. For skiing and snowboarding, there are 63.2 km of ski slopes and 9.7 km of ski slopes. 17 lifts transport skiers. The winter sports complex is located between 849 and 2033 meters above sea level.

The land of Salzburg has more than fifty ski resorts – this is about two thousand kilometers of ski slopes. One of these resorts is Großarl-Dorfgastein. Its advantage, and maybe its disadvantage, is that it is quite isolated. A narrow serpentine road leads there, which is why buses with large groups of skiers rarely enter here.

Grossarl – Dorfgastein is more of a family resort, but for those who know how to ride, where red trails prevail, but blue trails are enough. There are very few black trails. There are several orange ski trails and freeride sites. A big plus of skiing in Großarl-Dorfgastein is that you can catch the maximum sunny day there. In the Sutra, you skate on the side of Grossarl while the sun is shining there, and after lunch you go to the other side, in the direction of the village of Dorfgastein, and skate again in good sunshine.

Großarl and Dorfgastein are two small but very pretty villages in the valleys of the Arles and Gasteinerhe rivers. In terms of noisy après-ski bars, discos and all kinds of wellness procedures, they are inferior to large resorts. But if the main goal for you is to ski well, while feeling the peace and romance of a holiday in the Alps, then the village of Großarl will surely appeal to you!
