The Katschberg ski resort is located in the Austrian region of Katschberg-Rennweg, Carinthia, Upper Carinthia, Spittal an der Drau – Katschberg-Rennweg, Carinzia, Alta Carinzia, Spittal an der Drau. There are 72 km of trails for skiing and snowboarding. 16 lifts transport skiers. The winter sports area is located at an altitude of 1066 to 2220 meters above sea level.

Direct and quick access via the Tauernautobahn (A10) motorway, 70 km of extremely varied trails, 16 modern ski lifts and cozy hotels and apartments await at Katschberg. The whole family often comes here, because here great attention is paid to children. For this, the entertainment complex Katschi’s Kids’ World was built, ski kindergartens and schools operate, and specially trained personnel will assist at the lifts at any moment.

Katschberg is known for a fairly loyal circle of visitors who return here from year to year. These are mainly Germans, but there are many visitors from Italy, Holland, Croatia, Bulgaria, Belgium, and also Great Britain. There are still very few Russians at the resort.

The intensity of the nightlife depends on personal choice: you can go to a disco or listen to live music in several good bars. Larchenstadl organizes themed dinners: fondue on Mondays, on Wednesdays – Austrian cuisine, on Fridays – Italian. Alpina Gasthof is famous for its steaks. And on Wednesdays live music awaits at Schlossl.

Total length of tracks 70 km. The vertical drop is 1154 meters. Preparation of slopes is carried out using special snow groomers of snow groomers. The resort has snow cannons. In total, the resort has 750 snow cannons that cover 100% of the tracks. In the dark, the area and ski slopes are illuminated. For beginners, training in skiing and snowboarding with professional instructors is organized.

In the Kachberg ski area there are trails of all difficulty levels. However, most of the slopes are of medium difficulty, which means that the whole family can have a great time here. The offer includes slopes for children, wide slopes for carving, but there are very difficult black slopes that require extreme attention.

Longest run: A1 from Aineck to St. Margarethen, length 6 km, vertical drop 1120 m.

The most difficult track: “Black” track “Direttissima” from Aineck to Katschberg, length 3 km, height difference 570 m. With an incline of up to 100%, this track is practically steep, especially first.

Most interesting trail: descent into the valley from Aineck via A1. It is considered possibly the most beautiful trail in all the Alps. 6 km of pure pleasure awaits skiers and snowboarders.

Other skiing offers at the resort include a snow park/funpark, halfpipe, night skiing, tracks equipped with a stopwatch. There is a park for children with large figures from popular comics.

This resort is also one of the few in Austria that offers skiing from hotel doors.

The slopes of the resort serve 17 cable cars: 3 gondola lift, 5 chairlift and 8 t-bar lift. There is one children’s lift for beginners and children. The total length of the cable cars is 166 km, which are capable of transporting up to 27738 passengers/hour.

Resort guests enjoy three state-of-the-art eight-seat gondola lifts at Aineck and two high-speed, six-seat weather dome chairlifts at Tschaneck. There are also cable cars and ski lifts that serve other slopes. Beginners can use the ski lifts specially designed for inexperienced skiers.
