How to get to the Tsakhkadzor

By plane

There are direct flights Moscow-Yerevan airport “Zvartnots”. Airliners of S7 and Travnsaero airlines depart from Domodedovo airport to the capital of Armenia, Aeroflot aircraft from Sheremetyevo, and Air Armenia aircraft from Vnukovo. You can take a taxi from the airport to the resort, which can be easily ordered or found right after arrival. Travel time will take about an hour, the cost is about 2500 rubles.

At the airport you can rent a car with or without a driver.

For those who decide to get to the resort by bus, it is important to know that the “Yerevan – Tsaghkadzor” bus departs from the bus station, which is 40 minutes away from the airport. Buses run only on Wednesdays and Sundays, once a day. The trunk is not very spacious, and if you are traveling with your own ski equipment, it is better to order a private transfer. You can pay for a bus ride only in local currency – Armenian drams. The cost will be equivalent to $ 2 and is 963 drams. The bus stops not in Tsaghkadzor itself, but in Hrazdan, which is 5 km from the resort.

From Yerevan in the direction of Tsakhkadzor, you can leave by buses “Yerevan-Krasnodar”, “Yerevan-Moscow” or “Yerevan-Ufa”. The duration of the trip is 1 hour 10 minutes, you need to pay $ 1.5 for the trip. The stop will also be in Hrazdan, from where to Tsaghkadzor you either have to take a taxi or walk 5 km.

By train

It will not work to get to Yerevan by train, as there is no direct connection.

By bus

From Moscow, as well as from other large Russian cities, you can get to Yerevan by bus.

A comfortable bus has been traveling this route from Moscow to Yerevan for many years. Flights depart to the capital of Armenia once a day from the Kazan railway station of the Russian capital. This road will take about 50 hours.

You can also leave the Kursk railway station. From there, flights run twice a week, and in winter, once every two weeks. Travel time will be about a couple of hours shorter, but the buses are not as comfortable in this case.

By car

There are two ways to get there by car:

• along the M4 Don and P-217 Kavkaz highways through Voronezh, Rostov-on-Don, Nalchik and Vladikavkaz. Then the path goes through the territory of Georgia, and only after that the traveler will reach Armenia, and then to Yerevan. Travel time, if not stopping to rest, is approximately 35 hours.
• those who do not want to go through the territory of Georgia, can, moving along the M4 Don and R-217 Caucasus highways, make a 300-kilometer detour and reach Yerevan through the Republic of Dagestan and the territory of Azerbaijan.
